These Terms and Conditions apply to all users of the MatchDey website and mobile app across Nigeria and other African regions.

2. Eligibility

To use MatchDey:

  • You must be at least 16 years old.
  • If you are under 18, you may use MatchDey under the supervision of a parent or guardian.
  • By registering, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and complete.

3. Account Registration

When creating an account:

  • You agree to provide accurate personal details (name, phone number, and email).
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
  • Any activity under your account will be deemed to be done by you.

4. Use of Services

By using MatchDey, you agree to:

  • Use the app and website only for lawful purposes.
  • Avoid misusing the platform, including attempting to hack, exploit, or manipulate data.
  • Respect other users and pitch owners by honoring bookings, showing up for matches, and following fair play practices.
  • Not upload, post, or share harmful, offensive, or illegal content.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

5. Pitch Bookings and Payments

  • All pitch bookings are handled through the MatchDey app or website.
  • Payments are securely processed through Paystack, our trusted payment partner.
  • MatchDey does not hold or store card details — all transactions go through encrypted gateways.
  • Once a booking is confirmed, refund or cancellation policies may vary depending on the pitch owner’s terms.
  • In case of failed transactions or disputes, MatchDey will work with Paystack and the pitch owner to resolve the issue fairly.

6. Pricing and Fees

Some services on MatchDey may attract booking or service fees. Any applicable charges will be clearly displayed before payment. Prices may vary based on pitch location, duration, and owner preferences.

7. Disclaimers

  • MatchDey acts as a booking platform and does not directly own or manage the pitches listed.
  • We do not guarantee the performance, condition, or safety of third-party facilities.
  • While we work to maintain uptime and performance, we cannot be held liable for service interruptions caused by internet issues, server downtime, or third-party errors.

8. Limitation of Liability

MatchDey shall not be liable for:

  • Any personal injuries, losses, or damages that occur during football games or events organized through the platform.
  • Any disputes between players, teams, or pitch owners.
  • Indirect or consequential losses resulting from your use of the platform.

Users are advised to take responsibility for their safety, health, and conduct during all matches or events organized through MatchDey.

9. Intellectual Property

All content on the MatchDey website and app — including logos, designs, text, images, and software — are the intellectual property of MatchDey and protected by copyright laws.
You may not copy, reproduce, or use any part of our brand or system without written permission.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to MatchDey without prior notice if:

  • You violate any of these Terms and Conditions.
  • You engage in fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activity.
  • We are required to do so by law.

Upon termination, you will lose access to your account and any active bookings.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. When we do, we will post the revised version on our website with a new “Last Updated” date. Continued use of the platform after updates means you accept the new terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Any disputes arising out of the use of MatchDey shall be resolved in Nigerian courts or through arbitration as permitted by law.
